Personal Data Processing Policy

We, SIA “SRC SIGULDA”, registration number: 40103940423, registered office: Lakstīgalas Street 13, Sigulda, Sigulda county, LV-2150, Latvia (henceforth – “we”), take care of your data, and in this Policy we explain how personal data are processed in the website www.prostatecancer.lv (henceforth – “Site”). 

What information do we collect and for what purposes? 

  • If you contact us through the contact form available on the Site, we request you specify your name, surname, address, e-mail address, phone number, and question. You can specify the required information also partially. We need this information to contact you to provide an answer. 
  • If you apply for an appointment in our Centre through the Application Form available on the Site, we request to specify your name, surname, country, e-mail address, phone number, and notes. We need this information only to contact you regarding the time of consultation, to make an appointment, and contact you if the scheduled time of the appointment must be changed for whatever reason. Information about the country is necessary to schedule a consultation and prepare for communication in case you are a foreigner. 
  • If you send us information about your health condition through the Data Uploading Form available on the Site, we collect information about your health to consider therapy options. You can submit said information also in other ways, for example, by bringing it in person.
  • If you submit feedback through the Feedback Form available on the Site, we request you to write your name, e-mail address, and the feedback. We use the submitted information to assess our services and to place it on the Site. An E-mail address is used to check whether we have provided the service to a person submitting the feedback. 
  • We use cookies and similar solutions to ensure the Site’s operation and functionality and to analyze our Site and activities. 
  • The Site shows patient information: name, age, position, health-related data, feedback, and entries in our guest book, photos, and videos. This information is anonymized before publishing on the Site, for example, by changing the patient’s name and not including details that might disclose the patient’s identity. Anonymous data are not deemed to be personal data. Specially invited actors may act as patients in video advertisements. 

Personal data are submitted on a voluntary basis. If you do not provide your personal data, we might be unable to achieve the previously stated goals. For example, if you fail to provide the mandatory information requested in the form, we will not be able to answer your question. 

What is the legal basis for our processing of personal data and for how long are they stored? 

Personal data are processed pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) (your consent) and (f) (our legitimate interests) of the General Data Protection Regulation. Our legitimate interests include the development of our Site and services, the protection of our property, and lawful claims. 

Personal data will be stored for a period they are necessary to achieve the goals for which they were collected unless a longer storage period is stated in laws and regulations. 

How do we disclose personal data? 

We may disclose personal data to the following recipient categories: 

  • Service providers. For example, we may disclose personal data to companies rendering services to us, IT service providers. 
  • Medical practitioners. In the event we collect information to evaluate therapeutic options, we may involve medical practitioners for such a purpose. 
  • Other persons if required by laws and regulations. There might be cases where we are obliged to disclose personal data to other persons to comply with statutory obligations or to provide an answer to an inquiry from a governmental or municipal authority. 
  • Other persons if required for the protection of our rights and legitimate interests, for example, State police. 
  • Other persons, according to your consent. We may disclose your data to third parties if you have provided your consent or have requested to do so. 

How do we use cookies and similar solutions? 

Cookies are small data files sent by a network server to a web browser, which stores information in your computer, cell phone, or other device as you access the Site. It helps to identify you in websites, services, devices, and browsing sessions. 

You can configure your browser so that it confirms all cookies, rejects all cookies, or notifies you of a cookie being sent. Every browser is different therefore go to the Help section in your browser’s Menu to find out how to arrange your settings regarding the cookies. Please be noted that if you choose to block cookies, it may affect your options on the Site or its sections. 

We use Google Analytics and Google Ads services where cookies are used. These services are provided to us by Google Inc., address 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. We use Google Analytics service to analyze and improve our Site. Obtained statistics allow us to improve the services. We use Google AdWords to assess the efficiency of our marketing activities.

We use YouTube service to show videos on our Site. This service is provided by YouTube LLC, address 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. Our Site uses YouTube plug-ins. When you click on this plug-in, a connection is made with YouTube servers and the plug-in appears on the screen. It informs the YouTube server that you have visited the Site. If you login into YouTube it relates this information to your user account. You can prevent relating this information by logging off from your YouTube user account and other YouTube LLC and Google Inc. user accounts and deleting the cookies of these companies prior to using the Site.

We can use technologies known as markers (or pixels), which send the intended information from your device to the server. Markers can be integrated into online content, video, and e-mail letters, and they may allow the server to read certain information from your device, identify when you have viewed a particular content or e-mail letter, identify the time and date of viewing the marker and IP address of your device. We use markers to analyze how the Site is being used. 

How can you exercise your rights? 

In cases where we process your personal data on the basis of your consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time. Such withdrawal will not affect the legality of the processing of your personal data prior to such withdrawal. 

In order to request access to, editing of, deleting of personal data, restrict processing, object to personal data processing, or use rights of transfer of personal data, as well as point out other considerations regarding personal data processing, send us a request in an e-mail letter to info@cyberknife-sigulda.com, and write “personal data processing” in the Subject field. You are also entitled to file a complaint with the supervisory authority — Data State Inspectorate.
